My passion for excellent food began when I was a child. I was raised in Saint Lucia and spent my days fishing in the Caribbean Sea. I would clean and cook the catch of the day and play with flavor combinations. My Sicilian mother, who is a phenomenal chef, constantly challenged me to be creative with seasonings while maximizing the natural taste of each fish.

When I was fourteen, my mom uprooted me from my tropical and earthy lifestyle on the island and moved us to a coastal town in Northern Italy. I quickly fell in love with the rustic simplicity of Italian cuisine. I learned how the integrity and freshness of every ingredient impacts a dish and studied traditional cooking techniques with the locals. It was during this time when my signature pesto was born. I took an age-old family recipe and adapted it to the modern palette. I could tell that we had something truly special, but I didn’t realize I would eventually share it with the world.

A few years later, an opportunity arose for me to come to America and started a new chapter. As I moved around the states, I was shocked at how drastically different the food culture is in the US compared to Italy and Saint Lucia. The fresh and wholesome food that I grew up on was replaced with fast food containing a long list of questionable ingredients. I moved from Florida to North Carolina and eventually found my home in Los Angeles, California. When I got to LA, I dove into the health food scene and realized that there is a huge desire for healthy, delicious, and authentic Italian pesto. This inspired me to bring my authentic pesto to the market. My pesto is handcrafted using multiple varieties of fresh organic basil from local farms. I use local, aged goat cheese, raw sheep cheese, Italian parmigiano reggiano, and raw pine nuts to create a pesto unlike any you have ever had. It is truly Italy in a jar and I am so excited to share it with you!
